30/30/30/10 Hiring Rule

We advocate a 4-part process to hiring the best sales team:

  1. 30% of your decision should be based on your reference and background checks. If a candidate does not pass this stage successfully, move to the next person.
  2. 30% for the results of your interviews. Use a Structured Interview approach that asks questions targeted at behaviors and motivations of your preferred sales style. If your candidate fails at these, then move to another person.
  3. 30% should be used as a result of pre-employment testing. Our approach will give you accurate forecasts of your candidate’s potential up to 90% or more.
  4. 10% of your decision then can be left to your intuition.
